Invitation to Mentors

Details

Mentors will be available to counsel students. Professionals from the Greater Danbury  educational, scientific, and business communities will be available to answer questions  and to help with project planning. These professionals have a wide range of education  and expertise; attending a mentor session is an excellent way to access a diverse group  of professionals.

STUDENTS SHOULD COME TO THE MENTOR SESSION WITH A RESEARCH  OUTLINE AND PROJECT PLAN. Mentors can help adjust a plan, but they cannot design the plan for the student.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MENTOR SESSION IS NOT A PLACE TO FIND  AN ADULT SPONSOR FOR YOUR PROJECT. Although a student may get advice at the mentor session on how to find an appropriate adult sponsor, the student has the responsibility for finding an adult sponsor. The adult sponsor is the person who will supervise the student in the conduct of his/her research.
