In recent years the Overall Senior Winner and the Overall Symposium Winner have been
awarded $1,000 scholarships.
Any student who has been a Senior Division finalist is eligible to apply (in their
senior year) for Science Horizons Scholarships. In recent years three scholarships (for
one year only) of $3,000, $2,000 and $1,000 have been awarded. The number
and amounts of the scholarships
are subject to change at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
In
July 2002 the following Scholarships were awarded:
- $3000
to Amy Amin, who will attend the University of Connecticut.
- $1500
to William Klieber, who will attend the University of Pittsburgh
- $1500
to Daniel Tucker, who will attend Brown
- $1000
to Andrea Gadberry, who will attend Washington University in St. Louis.
Andrea received her
scholarship as overall winner in the symposium in 2000.
- $1000
to Michael Casino, who will attend Yale. Mike received his scholarship
as overall winner in the senior divisions of the fair in 2000.
- $1000
to David Backer, who will attend George Washington University. David received
his
scholarship as overall winner in the symposium in 1999.
